In recent years, festivals dedicated to tourism audiovisual have become platforms for sharing and claiming a polyhedral and mutant genre, which uses both advertising codes, documentary, cinematographic fiction or video . To analyze these new trends, the Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity and the CETT, the university center of reference of Tourism, Hotel and Catering, assigned to the University of Barcelona, scheduled a professional day at the Hotel Alimara de Barcelona on Thursday, November 28. The event will begin at 10 am with the conference ‘Why should we use the video in tourism marketing?’ Will be given by Scot Chris Torres, director of the Tourism Marketing Agency and one of the top experts in the use of tourist video.

Marketing experts increasingly advise their use in the various promotion channels with greater insistence and intensity. For this reason, during the day, the first edition of the Terres de l’Ebre Play, competition, a competition of tourist microvideos for students of training cycles and universities will also be presented publicly. Participants in the competition, which is part of the Year of Sports Tourism of the Catalan Tourist Board and which is supported by the Terres de l’Ebre Tourist Brand, can win a € 1000 bonus for the purchase of photographic and audiovisual technical material. The event is organized by the Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity, who took advantage of the act of November 28 to provide to those interested a briefing with guidelines for participants to present a creative, original and unpublished proposal.
