The Terres Festival creates a Special Award for the promotional videos that encourage to travel again after the pandemic

The registration period for the Terres Travel Festival closed on Sunday 31 May, with the best number of films registered in the four-year history of the event. A total of 298 entries were received from 34 countries. The increase in registrations, both in number of productions and in the diversity of countries, consolidates, year after year, the trajectory of the Terres Travel Festival, which will celebrate its fourth edition from 4 to 12 September.

On June 15, the organization will announce the number of selected productions that will be part of the Official Competition of the Festival. On the other hand, the final program of the Terres Festival will be presented at the beginning of July.

One of the main novelties of this year’s edition will be the awarding of a Special Prize for the best production that stimulates the desire to travel again after the coronavirus pandemic. The director of the event, Santi Valldepérez, points out that “the audiovisual has been the tool most used by tourist destinations to spread a message of proximity to their audiences; from the Terres Festival we quickly detected the phenomenon and we were delighted to state that organically many of these productions were registering in our contest “.

The “Recomencem” Award, sponsored by the Terres de l’Ebre Tourism Board, will be presented as part of the awards ceremony, which will be held on Thursday 10 September at the Racó de Mig Camí Restaurant in Tortosa.

Confidence despite restrictions due to the pandemic

The organization of the Terres Festival has developed an action protocol to adapt to the measures that may be applied by the health authorities. However, it is hoped that any restrictions will not affect the normal development of the fourth edition of the festival.
