Our festival wants to show films focused on sustainable development and natural tourism.
With terres LAB we want to explore the most innovative tendencies in the audiovisual representation of the travelling Experience.
The festival takes place in Tortosa, the biggest city in Terres de l’Ebre region. The 35% of the region is protected by 2 natural parks. Its natural heritage is protected by the label of UNESCO BIOSPHERE RESERVE.
Our festival has received the EFFE award for the years 2017-2018 for its vocation of territorial structuring and the drive to promote creativity.
On November 2018, terres obtained the status of member of the CIFFT (International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals). terres is the only festival in Spain having this recognition.
The CIFFT is a Festival Committee, with currently 18 Tourism Film Festival Members and Candidates around the globe. Our purpose is to maintain and encourage the consciousness of audio-visual work in the international tourism industry. We are endorsed by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), European Travel Commission (ETC), Central America Tourism Organization (CATA) and Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).
In 1989 Rudolf Kammel and Alexander V. Kammel believed that audiovisual for tourism will play a fundamental role in promoting destinations in the future. So they decided to invite the most prestigious tourism film festivals directors of that time to form a festival committee, the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT).
Currently with 18 tourism film festivals around the world, the Grand Prix CIFFT Circuit aims to promote excellence in the tourism film industry and rewards and recognizes the best films produced to promote a destination or a tourism product.
The Grand Prix CIFFT Circuit is a global competition open to any kind of audiovisual communication, from promotional films to social media videos, commercials to videos or advertising campaigns, from travel videos to documentaries or reports, whenever the theme focuses on the promotion of tourism.
