terres Catalunya – INTERNATIONAL ECO & TOURISM FILM FESTIVAL has organized an event in Barcelona, which will help to think about tourism and sustainability and at the same time will allow to present this brand new Festival in the capital of the country.
The event will take place on May 31st at 19:00h in the Casa dels Nous Viatgers of B the travel Brand, one of the enterprises that supports the Festival. It will consist in conference of Swen Waterreus, one of the jury members of the terres Catalunya Festival and professor in tourism management and tourism investigation methods at Inholland Applied Cience University (Amsterdam) . Watterreus will talk about tourism and sustainability and about the role that terres Catalunya Festival can have in order to generate a debate about this topic. In fact, this reflection gives meaning both to the Festival and its parallel Congress, terres Lab, that has been organized as a complement of the own Festival.
The event at Casa dels Nous Viatgers will also help to present the trophy that will be delivered to the Festival winners: an olive made of palm leaf by the group Art Pauma from Mas de Barberans, and designed by Anna Reverté, student at Escola d’Art i Disseny d’Amposta (ESARDI). This trophy is an example of the tight relation of terres Catalunya with the social environment and the Terres de l’Ebre landscape, where the Festival will be celebrated from May 31st to June 3rd.
