Unique tourist destinations, stories about the historical and natural heritage or travel stories from the five continents. These are just three of the topics covered in the 105 tourist films and 44 documentaries of the official selection, some of which have been scheduled for the fourth edition of the Terres Travel Festival. The event, which has Tortosa as its main venue but has also scheduled activities in Amposta and Deltebre, will be held from 4 to 12 September. The event is attended by directors, producers, film and tourism professionals from around the world who will take part in around twenty film sessions, debates and talks and round tables. Among the novelties of this edition is the delivery of a special award for best production that stimulates the desire to travel again after the coronavirus pandemic. The new award, entitled Recomencem and sponsored by the Terres de l’Ebre Tourism Board, will be presented as part of the awards ceremony on Wednesday 9 September at the Racó de Mig Camí Restaurant in Tortosa.
Promotion of sustainable tourism
The Terres Travel Festival is the only event specializing in tourist audiovisuals held in Catalonia and throughout Spain and since 2019 is a member of the CIFFT circuit, the International Committee of Tourist Film Festivals that brings together 18 festivals from around the world and is a unique competition in the world, aimed at rewarding the best tourism films in the world. Terres Travel Festival dynamizes the territory in a direct way and involves all citizens in the promotion of sustainable tourism, by supporting local cultural industries and strengthening its brand image and attractiveness. The organization of the Terres Festival has developed an action protocol to adapt to the measures that may be applied by the health authorities.
However, it is hoped that any restrictions will not affect the normal development of the fourth edition of the festival.
