In the framework of the General Assembly held today in Vienna, the CIFFT (International Committee of Tourist Film Festivals) confirmed terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity as one of its members.
The festival, promoted since 2016 by the production company Filmsnòmades, is the only one in Spain to having this consideration.
As reported by the CIFFT, in the evaluation of the new member it has been highlighted that “it is a young festival, very well organized, with a young team that knows what it wants and with a strategically structured program, especially in terms of the terres LAB congress”. Likewise, the important institutional support received by the event and the involvement of the local and regional business community has been valued.
The CIFFT values that land was born adapted to the challenges and trends of the communicative future of tourism and emphasizes its strategic position in one of the reference markets in terms of audiovisual production in tourism and the promotion of destinations such as the Spanish State (82 millions of tourists, second largest tourist destination in the world after France).
For its part, the festival director, Santi Valldepérez, welcomed the admission to the CIFFT circuit as an “extraordinary news, of great value, which will give more impetus to our festival and that will undoubtedly have an impact on the territory”. Valldepérez thanks the support of the institutions that support the project – the Catalan Tourism Board, the City of Tortosa, the Provincial Council of Tarragona and the Regional Council of the Baix Ebre, of the sponsoring companies of the last edition of the contest -Airbnb, B the travel brand, SB hotels, Merkamotor Tortosa, Agrícola Sant Josep-, of the ART & TUR festival – International Tourism Festival (Leiria, Portugal), of entities such as the Terres de l’Ebre Campus of the Ebro from the Rovira i Virgili University or the Heritage Laboratory Cultural Center of the University of Barcelona (LABPATC-UB) and of personalities such as PhD Jordi Tresserras (LABPATC-UB) and PhD Nuria Gil (URV), director and secretary of the terres LAB congress, respectively.
For his part, the artistic director of the festival, Jaume Moya is confident of the successful call and attendance of the next edition of the contest and explains that the way is “to end up turning the terres festival into the great spring festival of tourism in the south of Catalonia “.
It should be noted that the 30th edition of the Grand Prix CIFFT gala, held yesterday in Vienna, has recognized “The route of fate”, produced by the Charles agency for the Catalan Tourism Board as the Best Tourist Film of the year 2018.
