Screening “Silêncio. Vozes de Lisboa”

Set against the backdrop of a gentrified Lisbon, Silêncio, Vozes de Lisboa follows in the footsteps of Céline, Ivone Dias and Marta Miranda, female artists of different generations who fight for the survival of their art and their community. Their common language is fado, a traditional music style that speaks of the daily struggle of life. The film explores the relationship between fado singers and the changing world around them.
