Opening of the exhibition “The Adventures of Indiana Jones. Reality and Fiction”

The Tortosa Museum hosts the exhibition “The Adventures of Indiana Jones. Reality and Fiction”, an exhibition that explores the universe of the legendary archaeologist and the connections between cinema, travel, history and heritage.

The opening will be accompanied by a talk by journalist and exhibition curator Jaume Palau, who will take us on a journey through the locations and stories that have shaped the adventures of Indiana Jones. Throughout the session, he will explore some of the inspirations behind the character, the landscapes that have served as filming locations for the saga, and the phenomenon of film tourism, with references to destinations such as Hawaii, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Sicily and the Tabernas Desert in Almería.

The talk will also explore the relationship between history and legend, the relics that have fuelled the saga’s imagination, and the way cinema can transform fictional settings into real tourist destinations.
