A short film that promotes social awareness of the climate emergency and shows the importance of micro-actions to reverse it can be seen at the beginning of each screening session of the festival
Conceived in the autumn of 2020, UNESCO’s Green Citizens platform highlights inspiring and high-impact projects for biodiversity, oceans, hydrology, education for sustainable development and indigenous knowledge.
UNESCO’s Green Citizens program supports initiatives around the world, from Latin America – with projects such as “Unplastify” (Argentina) or “Lisbran” (Colombia) – to Africa – with projects such as the defense of sea turtles on the Ivory Coast – or in Asia – with projects such as Clean Everest – all linked to reforestation, animal protection, education for sustainable development, access to water or the transmission of local knowledge.
Thanks to the communication partnership, an article on the Terres Festival has been published in the news section of the UNESCO Green Citizens platform. Correspondingly, at the beginning of the screening sessions of the Terres Festival, from 3 to 11 September, a video will be screened that promotes the importance of micro-actions within local communities in order to promote global climate goals.
