terres Catalunya –INTERNATIONAL ECO & TOURISM FILM FESTIVAL will have its own sustainable tourism day. Thus, Friday June 2nd in the morning, will take place various activities at the natural area of MónNatura Delta de l’Ebre, within the parallel activities to the Festival and with the support of Catalunya-la Pedrera Foundation. It will be a way to promote the Ebro Delta as a sustainable tourism destination and also a way to strengthen the idea of terres Catalunya festival being organized in a region declared Biosphere Reserve and where nature plays a very important role in tourism and leisure offer.
The activities will consist in a guided tour of the area, of 41,2 ha surface of high natural value where the old salt flats of La Tancada were located and that was recovered some years ago by Catalunya-La Pedreda Foundation in order to spread the environmental values and magic of the Ebro Delta.
Then, three talks about sustainable tourism have been scheduled. One of the speeches will be held by Francisco Días, from the Polytechnic Institute of Leira (Portugal), who will talk about the favorite tourism destination brands and the need to get involved in order to achieve a sustainable management.
The second speech will be held by @pinapli, the instagramer Jonathan Rius, who will talk about his career as instagramer with more than 100.000 followers.
Finally, the intervention of Belén Carmona, from the traveler community Minube where travelers choose their destinations based on experiences of other travelers. Carmona, who has recently participated in many actions coordinated by the World Tourism Organization (WTO) for the spread of a sustainable tourism, will hold a very interesting speech about responsible tourism, and how to travel and enjoy while respecting the environment.
