Synopsis

A documentary about the Carlist kidnapping of the Town Hall of Granollers, which took place in 1875 during the Carlist War. A long conflict that confronted the rural world with the liberals who were beginning to transform the cities. The mayor of Granollers, Pere Maspons, together with 30 townspeople, were kidnapped by a group of Carlists and were forced to undertake a journey on foot towards Ripoll while negotiations for their ransom were taking place. Led by journalist Eloi Vila, the documentary proposes following this route across the various Catalan regions where the kidnapping took place in February 1875, in order to relive and explore the different farmhouses and locations that these hostages passed through 150 years ago.
