Synopsis

-This short film explores the traditions of Koka City, Shiga—from the ascetic practices of Shugendo and the legacy of the Ninja to the craftsmanship of Shigaraki ware, the rhythm of Nintama Taiko drums, and the local tea fields. While these elements may seem distinct, they are woven together through the shared theme of "self-discipline." By focusing on the intricate movements of hands and feet along with raw environmental sounds, the film visualizes the unique rhythm rooted in the land of Koka. Rather than a standard travel guide, it captures the atmosphere and the tactile reality of the people and their actions.
