Synopsis

Ebrencs Around the World is a TV program that portrays the diversity of the planet through the eyes and lives of people from a specific Catalan region, Terres de l'Ebre. 80 people living in 50 different cities of 21 countries on four continents share their visions of their new homes, always linking them with their homeland. It's a way of bringing a distant world closer and making it more understandable to the audience, who share the same cultural (and landscape) background as the protagonists.

Objectives

One of the main goals of the program is to make known part of the human talent of a specific territory (Terres de l'Ebre) that for a variety of reasons has had to emigrate and resettle all around the world. And we are talking about a territory with a historical low self-esteem needed of positive referents that are making an impact (big or small) in the world. Another important goal is to bring the world, but a world translated by a person with the same cultural background as the audience, to people that probably haven't had the opportunity to cross many borders in their life. The protagonists are putting light on some parts of the planet, and they explain it in the language of the audience, even with their same accent.
