Synopsis

Santorini, the southernmost of the Greek Cyclades, has a special history. 3,600 years ago, a volcano erupted here and created a huge water-filled crater surrounded by a group of islands – today's Santorini. Its beaches are mostly black, some are red or white and they’re as famous as the blue domes of the houses, and the wines. The film shows how the volcano's activities and deposits have shaped nature and all aspects of life on the island to this day.
