
Presentation of the video game beta project Terres Play
Terres Play, is a game that is in the beta phase, and is being made with students of the upper level of Videogame and 3D at the Institut Montsià d’Amposta, and at the PIA Nostra Senyora School in Barcelona.
In the game, players choose between two characters to face five environmental challenges that solve problems centered on the Terres de l’Ebre. Each challenge has four unique levels, each with an environmental goal such as collecting plastic from beaches or cleaning up reservoirs. On each screen passed, players earn rewards such as tips for being good travelers and customizable items. As they progress, the levels become more complex, introducing enemies such as crabs and snails, but also offering aids such as rice liquor or cakes, to have more energy, autan, to avoid being attacked by mosquitoes, or palm pods, to being able to load more plastics and special abilities to tackle challenges. The game seeks to raise awareness of environmental and sustainability issues through fun and learning.
The first level takes place on the beach of the Marquesa, our character appears in the restaurant of the Basques and must reach the tip of the Fangar, the Lighthouse. He must collect as much plastic and garbage as possible, but he will have to face mosquitoes and the blue crab, as he collects the plastic and takes it to the corresponding containers, he will earn points and can buy rice liquor, and cakes to be able to have more energy, and overcome the enemies.
