Synopsis

"Perspectives. A way of living” invites us into La Llar, a former family home transformed into a residence where 16 people with intellectual disabilities and/or severe mental health conditions build their everyday lives. In this calm and vibrant space, the documentary reveals real stories about work, independence, friendship, love and identity, as well as the desire to participate fully in society. Through honest testimonies and a close, respectful gaze, the film challenges stereotypes and makes visible both the difficulties and the strengths that often remain unseen. Emotional and deeply human, “Perspectives” is an invitation to rethink inclusion not as an abstract idea, but as a way of inhabiting the world.

Objectives

The film aims to challenge stereotypes around intellectual disability and mental health, making visible the everyday lives, aspirations and rights of its protagonists. It seeks to foster empathy, promote social inclusion and invite audiences to rethink concepts such as independence, care and community. Ultimately, “Perspectives” aspires to open a dialogue about how we build a more inclusive and participatory society.
