Viana do Castelo – Cultural Capital of the Atlantic Axis is a sensory portrait of a city shaped by the sea and by culture. Tradition and contemporary creation intersect through gestures and faces that reveal a shared, living identity between Portugal and Spain. More than a destination, Viana is a place of encounter, diversity and expression — an invitation to experience culture.
Objectius
To position Viana do Castelo as a cultural territory shaped by the Atlantic, where tradition and contemporary creation coexist. The film aims to promote the city as a space of encounter, diversity and artistic expression, reinforcing its role as Cultural Capital of the Atlantic Axis and strengthening its visibility in an international cultural and tourism context. The project was developed using a proximity-based production model, involving local crews and participants. Filmed entirely in Viana do Castelo, the film reflects a collaborative approach rooted in the city and its people, reinforcing cultural sustainability, local involvement and reduced environmental impact.
