Synopsis

The US states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont are famous for their autumn foliage, with trees turning as colorful as rainbows, or so the locals say. Award-winning filmmaker Klaus Scherer and his cameraman Johannes Anders showcase the full story of trees, colors, and locals, from the last days of winter to the stunning beauty shots in fall. Join the daily challenges of a young Maine mail pilot, a maple syrup maker in Vermont, and a brakeman on the world’s oldest cog railway at Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, known as the 'home of the world’s worst weather.' Side stories include a traditional farm turned into an animal sanctuary and an old theater built right on the US-Canadian border, where the hosts seat you 'with one foot in one country and your butt in the other.'
