Destination Selca. Welcoming Every Time. follows two local residents on the waterfront as they wait for
familiar guests to return to the island. Their small ritual becomes a warm entrance into the Municipality of
Selca on the eastern side of Brač, including Selca, Sumartin, Novo Selo and Povlja.
Through humour, recognition and everyday encounters, the film presents a place where visitors are not
treated as anonymous tourists, but as people who become part of local memory. The story moves naturally
through coastal life, heritage, activity, food and community, showing Selca as a destination shaped by
people, continuity and a sincere sense of welcome.
Objetivos
The goal of the film is to position the Municipality of Selca as a regional destination on Brač defined by
welcome, heritage, local character and return visits. The film promotes Selca, Sumartin, Novo Selo and
Povlja as connected places with their own rhythm, stories and atmosphere.
From a communication perspective, the film aims to strengthen awareness of the destination, support
official tourism promotion, increase emotional connection with potential visitors and present the region as a
place where culture, sea, activity, food and people form one coherent travel experience. It does this through
a story led by local characters, rather than through a conventional list of tourist attractions.
