More than one hundred films from 24 countries in the official section of Terres Travel Festival

108 productions from 24 countries will participate in the official competition of the third edition of the Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity, which will be held from April 26 to May 5 in the city of Tortosa (Spain). The festival, which specializes in tourism, landscape and travel cinema, has received nearly 270 entries from all over Spain and the European continent, but also from countries such as South Africa, Mexico, Chile, Taiwan or Iran; Up to 24 countries will be represented in this 2018 edition of the festival.

The screenings of the films selected for the official competition will be held between April 26 and May 2 in spaces such as the Chamber of Commerce of Tortosa, the Museum of Tortosa, The Bakery of the Canonja or the Cripta of the Repair.

The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 3rd May at the Theatre-Auditorium Felip Pedrell.

The 14 members of the international jury that have to evaluate the films in competition belong to the fields of communication and tourism. They come from countries like Japan, South Africa, Portugal or India. Dutch professor of sustainable tourism Swen Waterreus will chair for the third year the jury of the festival.

The organization of the festival has been very satisfied with the number and quality of the works that have been presented, since the numbers of the call for the preceding years have been exceeded.

The Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity is the only specialized tourist tourism event that is held in Catalonia and since 2019 is a member of the CIFFT circuit, the International Committee of Tourist Festivals, which includes 18 festivals all around the world. The CIFFT circuit is a unique competition in the world, aimed at rewarding the best tourism films.
