The bases of the festival terres TRAVEL FESTIVAL – Films & Creativity (terres) are available in Catalan, Spanish and English.
The second edition ofterres TRAVEL FESTIVAL – Films & Creativity will be held from April 26th to May 5th 2019 in Tortosa (Tarragona, Spain).
This Festival is organized by terres Landscape & Travel Communication, SLU, and has the official support of the Catalan Tourism Agency (ACT), the Diputació de Tarragona and the City Council of Tortosa.
1.- REGISTRATION AT THE FESTIVAL, COMPETITIONS AND SECTIONS
terres has 3 competitions: TOURISM COMMUNICATION, DOCUMENTARY AND CAMPAIGNS.
The first of the competitions (TOURISM COMMUNICATION) accepts two types of productions:
- advertisements (up to 1 ‘long),
- promotional films (up to 10 ‘long),
In this competition, each production registered can adhere to a maximum of 3 of the 17 proposed categories:
Tourism Destinations: (Country. Region, City)
Rural Destination (Village, Nature)
Cultural Destination (Heritage, Landscape, Routes, Products)
Active and sports tourism, nautical, snow and extreme
Expeditions and adventure
Tourism Accommodation. Health and wellness
Business Tourism (MICE)
Gastronomic Experiences and Enotourism
Promotional productions of Film Commissions and Film Offices
Authentic experiences, linked to the territory
Accessible and Responsible Tourism
Innovation (Product, Tourist Service, Communication Strategy)
Audiovisual Content of Digital Platforms: (Sites, microsites, xxss, podcasts, digital TV …)
Tourism 3.0 (360º, Apps, VR, AR …)
The DOCUMENTARY competition accepts short films (up to 30 ‘), medium-length films (up to 45’) and feature films (up to 120 ‘). In this competition each production can enroll in a maximum of 2 of the 6 categories proposed:
- History and heritage
- Ethnography and society
- Adventures, expeditions and routes
- Sustainable tourism and ecology
- Corporate documentaries
In all cases, to formalize the registration, each user must:
- Fill in a card in the festival intranet for each production presented
- Pay the registration fee for each production presented
Once the registration process has started, each user will receive an email with personal access keys to the intranet of terres. From the intranet will be carried out the entire administrative process of inscription of the films to contest. Users can raise any questions that arise at any stage of the registration process at firstname.lastname@example.org
2.- YEAR OF PRODUCTION
All films or campaigns registered at the festival must have been produced after January 1, 2016.
3.- ORIGINAL VERSIONS AND LANGUAGES
The Festival accepts registrations in any language. However, all films submitted must have subtitles in English.
4.- DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION
All registrations must be registered before February 15th, 2019 at 24.00h (CET).
5.- FORMATS AND SHIPMENTS
To formalize the inscription, for each one of the registered films it is required:
Proof of payment of the registration fee in Paypal (email@example.com) or in the account ES88 0081 0132 1600 0137 9339 (BANCO SABADELL).
Registration form filled in the festival intranet stating:
- Title of production:
- Synopsis (ENG)
- Objectives (ENG)
- 3 Movie Screenshots
- MP4 of the inscribed film. (Resolution: Full HD 1920 x 1080; Video Codec: H264; Audio Codec: AAC)
There is the option to present personally or send by mail the requested files. In such a case, the person must be sent or made the materials effective to:

6.- REGISTRATION FEES AND PAYMENT DATA
Once started the process, the films cannot be unsubscribed. The entry fee must be paid in euros by bank transfer to the following account:

The financial rates of the transfer shall be assumed by the originator of the transfer.
Advertising (1 ‘)
- Until 31 December 2018: € 60 (VAT included)
- From 1 January to 15 February 2019: € 90 (VAT included)
Tourism film (-10 ‘)
- Until 31 December 2018: € 90 (VAT included)
- From 1 January to 15 February 2019: € 150 (VAT included)
Short films, medium-length films, feature films and webdoc:
- Until 31 December 2018: € 70 (VAT included)
- From 1 January to 15 February 2019: € 120 (VAT included)
The Spanish and Portuguese productions registered both in terres and ART&TUR will also aspire to the IBERIA Award, to be presented in the 2019 edition of ART&TUR.
terres will accept entries from films from the platform Film Freeway. These inscriptions must comply with the specific requirements of this platform as well as the requirements of terres in all matters relating to formats, shipments and registration fees.
7.- RIGHTS OF USE
By registering a film at the Festival, the participant ensures ownership of all rights inherent to the registration and access to those same rights during the Festival period. The registration guarantees that the rights of use held by the authors, copyright owners and other agents involved in the production of the registered film, with the exception of the rights protected by the companies holding the exhibition rights, were acquired in a manner Legitimate and the Festival reserves the right to use it, not being prevented by copyright or other rights of third parties, whatever they may be. When a participant inscribes a film, the rights to use the inscription, specifically the right to display the film in public, in whole or in part, or to distribute it totally or partially in “Samples” or equivalent competitions, are transferred to the Festival. This also applies to photographs / images supplied to the Festival. All of the aforementioned utilization transfers are internationally valid.
An international jury will analyze the films entered and issue a verdict on those that will become part of the Official Competition. During the festival, the winners of the different categories awards, technical prizes and special prizes will be announced during the festival. Prizes will also be awarded to the best tourist campaigns.
9.- NOTIFICATION TO WINNERS
Entries submitted to the competition will be evaluated in advance and the winners will be notified in advance. The presence of the winning participants in the Awards Ceremony in a still to be determined stage of the Terres de l’Ebre in Spain is a moment of recognition, so it is recommended to come and collect the prize during the ceremony. The jury’s decisions do not appeal. The decisions of the jury and the Festival Organization are final and do not admit any legal recourse.
In case the Festival is canceled for reasons beyond the organization, the amount of the registration fees will be refunded.
10.- DELIVERY OF THE TROPHIES IN CASE OF NON ATTENDANCE AND DUPLICATES
In case a winner can not attend the trophy ceremony, the organization will send the trophy to the winner. The shipping prices, which will be billed to the interested party, are € 350 VAT included for shipments in European territory and € 650 VAT included for shipments to the rest of the world.
The festival offers the possibility of issuing replicas or duplicates of the trophy. The price for replication and shipping is € 500 VAT included for shipments in European territory and € 800 VAT included for shipments to the rest of the world.
11.- RESPONSIBILITY OF THE FESTIVAL
The Festival reserves the right to reclassify the films by directing them to other categories, as long as this is considered appropriate. The Festival declines any responsibility for entries of films that are classified in the wrong category or that enter the Festival records after the deadline stipulated for the effect. The responsibility of the Festival is limited to circumstances of intentional or negligent conduct that applies only in case of loss or damage of an enrolled work. The Festival organization does not accept any responsibility for the cancellation of the Festival due to force majeure, beyond its control.
12.- OTHER PROVISIONS
The Festival reserves the right to exhibit the works registered in the contest in a “Sample” or equivalent competition and to disseminate the same in a medium considered suitable by the Festival. This also applies to photographs / images provided for the Festival. The participants transfer to the Festival organization all the rights applicable to the initiatives mentioned above at the time of registration. Participants accept, at the same time, periodically receive the newsletter of the festival. Any notification of special interest to the participants will be sent by email. The Festival reserves the right to use all sound and image recordings made during the Festival for advertising purposes in any medium deemed appropriate by the Festival. The Festival reserves the right to exclude entries from films to competition. When registering a film to the Festival, the participant accepts the rules of the competition and all its rules, being the full responsibility of the participant any injuries to own or third parties, caused or not by the use of their registration or by the provision of False information. The jurisdiction of exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes arising out of or relating to these regulations shall be Amposta (Tarragona, Spain). Personal data will not be disclosed or transferred to third parties.
