DESCRIPTION:MAUTHAUSEN, Greece, 2023 (91’)A poetic documentary based on Mikis Theodorakis and Iakovos Kambanellis’ Cantata of Mauthausen, featuring a new interpretation by Aristarchos Papadaniel (voice) and Aris Zervas (cello), and the original unpublished text from the film Travelogue to Mauthausen – May 1988, written by the concentration camp survivor and founder of postwar modern Greek theatre, Iakovos Kambanellis.\nThe new recordings of MAUTHAUSEN were the last official releases made with the permission of the renowned Greek composer and political activist Mikis Theodorakis (ZORBA, Z, Serpico), just one month before his death. Kambanellis’ unpublished text, written during his visit and concert at the Mauthausen Delivery and Commemoration Ceremony in 1988, comes to life on Mauthausen Delivery and Commemoration Day 2022, in its natural setting: the Mauthausen Memorial in Austria, for the first time.\nSummit – Love, Germany, 2024 (44’)Daniela and Robert Jasper are Germany’s most recognized and famous mountaineering couple. From the southern Black Forest, they have conquered spectacularly difficult routes, particularly on the north face of the Eiger. Mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner speaks very highly of the Jasper couple. Daniela and Robert have been together for 30 years. “A typical mountaineering relationship,” says Daniela, “always full of ups and downs.”\nThe film Summit-Love follows this daring couple as they attempt a bold first ascent of the Eiger’s north face and highlights the different stages of their marriage: serious accidents, crises, arguments, and great alpine achievements.
